Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad – An eleven-mile stretch of track was purchased in 1983 by the Boone Railroad Historical Society which winds through the Des Moines River Valley. It includes a 156’ tall bridge spanning Bass Point Creek. Truly a beautiful ride.

James H. Andrew Railroad Museum – See the history of the railroad unfold before your eyes.

Cedar Rapids Guided Tour – This flourishing center for arts and culture in Eastern Iowa is home to several museums. Nicknamed the “City of Five Seasons,” for the “fifth season,” which is time to enjoy the other four. This is represented in a sculpture downtown along the river bank called the Tree of Five Seasons. The name “Five Seasons” and representations of the sculpture appear throughout the city in many forms. See how many you can spot during our tour!

Czech Dinner – Enjoy an authentic Czech dinner on us!

Czech Village / New Bohemia – Fast becoming the city’s flagship district it’s a magnet for events, entertainment, dining, & shopping.

National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library – Established in 1974 celebrating the Czech and Slovak history and culture.

Field of Dreams Movie Site – Built on two farms to enable uninhibited sunset shots during filming the field remains & is enjoyed by many. Build it, and they will come!

St. Francis Basilica – The original was completed in 1862, however, with the increasing Catholic population a new church was built in the 1880s. This large Gothic Revival style was placed upon a foundation of solid rock, which is one of the requirements for an altar to be consecrated. The interior of the church is decorated with paintings & frescoes you must see!

The Riverboat Twilight Riverboat Cruise – Enjoy an elegant, quiet cruise as we slip through the water of the Mississippi River. This beautiful triple decker includes comfortable dining salons & sundecks with lounge chairs.

National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium – Home to dozens of aquariums featuring wildlife representative of that found in the Mississippi River and Gulf of Mexico. River otters, octopus, turtles, frogs, ducks, rays, and more! There are outdoor exhibits as well, including a blacksmith shop, steam boilers, & aviaries to name a few.

The King Theater – Opened in the 1930s this hometown theater is sure to please! Now playing especially for us, Field of Dreams, a movie about an Iowa farmer, hearing voices, interprets them as a command to build a baseball diamond in his fields; he does, and the 1919 Chicago White Sox come. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show!
